The Our City Our Future Partnership

“Our City Our Future” was launched in 2002 as a partnership between the City of Lincoln Council and Lincoln’s Local Strategic Partnership (LSP).

This unique partnership enables an integrated approach to improving and developing Lincoln for the future.  This will benefit current and future residents and businesses.

The partnership approach ensures that the priorities and objectives of the Sustainable Community Strategy, the Local Development Framework and the strategies of partner organisations are fully integrated and aligned to enable more proactive, unified and effective delivery of improvement.

The Our City Our Future partnership has agreed on and is working towards a shared vision for the future of Lincoln. You can find out more about the vision by visiting the Our City Our Future Vision pages here.

The strategy will be made up of a set of Delivery Plans setting out how the partnership will work to achieve and monitor delivery of the Our City Our Future Vision.

The Local Development Framework is part of the spatial planning system which is underpinned by sustainable development principles. These principles aim to deliver a prosperous economy, increase affordable housing, improve access to services, and promote communities that meet the needs of all residents in ways that protect and enhance the built and natural environment.
