Lincoln's Local Strategic Partnership

Girl spinning at parkLocal Strategic Partnerships (LSP) were set up to bring together the different parts of the public, private, business, community and voluntary sectors at a local level so that they could work more effectively to tackle key issues such as crime, unemployment, education, health and housing.

Among their first tasks was to prepare and implement a Community Plan for their area. Those in Neighbourhood Renewal Areas – including Lincoln – had to develop a Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy and manage their Neighbourhood Renewal funding, as well as work with local authorities to develop public service agreements.

Six years later, the situation has changed and the continuing evolution of the LSPs has been fuelled particularly by the new Local Area Agreements, whose delivery they have been tasked to develop and drive within their local areas.

You can view Lincolnshire's Local Area Agreement on the Lincolnshire Assembly website by clicking here.

In order to deliver and improve some of the issues within the City, the LSP has a set of themed delivery plans each with a supporting group made up of key stakeholders and organisations with the partnership:

  • Our Education - Increasing aspiration and achievement
  • Our Health - Tackling health inequalities
  • Our Economy - Ensuring sustainable economic growth
  • Our Environment - Responding to climate change and environmental sustainability
  • Our Safety - Lowering crime and improving community safety
  • Our Neighbourhood - Helping our communities

Lincoln's LSP is currently updating its Sustainable Community Strategy and its accompanying delivery plans. More information will be published on this website once available. In the mean time, if you would like more information please visit the contact us page here.
